Never get it to go... you dont get much for the price you pay. Good food portions when u dine in tho.

Stale chips. made us pay extra for wanting more "free" chips and salsa. A group of 8 of us and got 4 baskets of chips and had to pay more after that. Server didnt speak much english and didn't understand what we were saying. Would recomend driving another 15 min. to go to the next Mexican restraunt.

First time there. Service was friendly and food came out quickly. Would go back for some good Mexican food.

Service has always been very quick. Food arrives before you've had your fill of chips and salsa. Each meal is very good and I have yet to have anything I didn't like. Try the Molcajete if you like shrimp and chicken with a ton of vegetables. Super good.

Great food. Only issue I had was I was charged for chips after the second batch. On a table for five and we ordered cheese dip and guacamole... That you eat with chips... Along with the complementary salsa. I dont think that is right. Chips go quick when youre hungry and spending alot of money on extras...

Ate dinner with the family here tonight. My brother was eating tortilla shells when we saw mold on one. He had already ate the other two shells. When we confronted the manager about it he informed me it was mold and he would take care of it and refund our price for that meal. When we received the bill the price was still on the bill. I again spoke with the manager where he informed me that since my brother ate almost all of the meal he wasn’t taking the price off. He got a piece of mine and my mother’s mind along with everyone in the restaurant hearing about it he finally took off the price of the meal. All while he is saying “it’s only one tortilla” with MOLD!! Will not be returning here. Check your food before you consume it!

Chips are stale, wanted us to pay extra for the apparent free chips. Waitress was rude. Would not recommend. I would consider driving the extra 30 mins to go to the next Mexican restaurant.

Quick and friendly service. The carnitas platter had large portion of meat, and overall flavor was great.

Food is okay. But the waiter wouldn’t give us anymore free chips and salsa. Said we have to pay for more. The waitress couldn’t understand English well. Seemed very rude. She is the main waitress. All the knives are melted.

Great salsa! I had chicken chimichunga it was good needed a little more cheese sauce. It tasted good otherwise. My husband had dinner special #18. He had a lot of food! Service was good until I never got my drink refilled, but my husband got 3! Space is kinda cramped but they weren't busy when we were there so it wasn't to bad I personally think our check was rang up for more than it should have been so I will have to rethink going back!

My wife & I love the El Carreton in Winchester Indiana but the one Berne Indiana is absolutely disgusting. They reuse there guacamole, there was chicken in my steak tacos & my tortillas tasted like paper & my wife ordered the combination fajitas & there was hardly any meat at all & it was flavorless & when she opened her tortillas there was dried up beans on a couple of them, so obviously they were someone's leftovers. We will definitely NOT be coming back! 🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮

Great Food and a lot of food for your money

Had dinner, towards the end brother was eating tortilla shells with his dinner found mold on the last one he ate don't know about the first 2 they told us was made this morning. They don't mold in a day very rude when confronting about it. Wont be returning here

Not sure what people are talking about getting charged for chips in reviews. I have ate here since their start and have never been charged. Great group of people and always great service. Live their margaritas as well. Great job Luis, keep up the great work!
